Dear fiction-nerds: long time no see!
Why? Because I’ve been busy as hell, working very hard while writing on the side. And I wrote a lot! Book 4 in the Wizard Brothers series is almost done and I’m also learning about screenwriting, which I recommend you all do, it doesn’t matter if you actually want to write for the screen or not: it will make you a BETTER writer, more focused on structure and pacing.
Anyway, the internet is full of resources for those who want to learn about screenwriting, problem is that not all are good and useful. That’s why I’m highly recommending the CREATORS WRITING ROOM, whose founders are Lee Aronsohn (Two And A Half Men, Big Bang Theory) and Sony development executive Jason Kyle. They share a ton of FREE CONTENT and also offer paid services, do check them out, you won’t regret it: https://www.thecwroom.com/
As for their FREE CONTENT, last week I was lucky enough to watch an extremely useful conversation between Jason and Talent Manager Brandon Cohen about how to break as a writer in Hollywood, the dos and don’ts, what’s hot right now and what’s not etc. The interview is divided in two parts and is rather long, since it really goes through a lot of stuff in detail.
