'Priceless', a review

by Louisa Klein

And it’s time to pimp other writers, Fiction-Fans! I cannot always brag about myself, can I?  This post is about Shannon Mayer an, let me tell you…. This woman rocks! Her books rock!
I always say (and mean it) that I write the stories I would like to read. Yeah, I like to write, but when someone else does all the hard work and I just have to sit and enjoy, it’s even better!
That was really the case with ‘Priceless’, by this so very talented indie author.
Here’s the blurb from Goodreads:
When children go missing without a trace, there is only one person who can find them.
Welcome to the world of Rylee Adamson, a woman with unique abilities, some wild friends and a unstoppable drive to save those who can’t save themselves.
But when the details of a missing child duplicate that of her worst case, things start to get freaky. And not in a good way.”

I absolutely loved this book. From start to finish this book flowed effortlessly. The story sucked me in from page one and I liked all the characters from the very start. And I love, LOVE kick ass heroines such as Rylee!
The story is so very well written, that one can visual the characters, their actions. I wanted to get to the end to find out what happens (especially to O’Shea and Rylee).
Rylee’s crew consists of a pet werewolf, her best friend that’s a witch, a daywalker, an ogre, and the FBI agent that has been trying to arrest her for ten years. So… Lots of supernatural creatures and a cute love interest! That’s how I like it! Another character I’ve really enjoyed is Alex, her assistant ‘pet werewolf’: I found the dialogue between the two totally hilarious!
I could not put the book down, once I had finished this I was straight onto book number two (Excellent too by the way, review to come). Truly a fantastic, entertaining read. And kudos again to Mayer for having created such believable, strong heroine! Don’t miss this urban fantasy, I promise you won’t regret it!
